FAQ

Things people ask before topping-up.

What is the 10-digit number you ask for?

The serial printed on the front of the Abu Dhabi public-transport smart card. The transport authority uses that serial to link credit to a card account.

How quickly does the credit reach the card?

Usually within seconds of payment approval. The longest we tolerate before treating a top-up as undelivered is 24 hours.

What are the minimum and maximum amounts?

Minimum AED 5 per top-up, maximum AED 5,000 per top-up. You can submit a second top-up right after the first is confirmed.

Why only Visa and Mastercard?

Our acquirer settles those two networks in dirhams reliably. We do not accept Amex, JCB or Discover at this time.

Where is my card data stored?

Not on our servers. The bank-card form lives on the secure checkout subdomain and is processed by a PCI-compliant acquirer. Our database keeps only order id, amount and masked last-4.

What happens if a top-up fails?

The bank card is reversed automatically. The smart-card account is never partially credited. Refund window for traced-but-not-delivered top-ups is 14 calendar days.

How do I find the order id?

It appears on the confirmation page right after the payment and in the receipt email. The format starts with cb- followed by a base-36 timestamp and a random suffix.

Do you keep a record of which card serials I have topped-up?

The serial is held in active storage for 24 hours after the posting attempt — enough to support a retry. After that it is discarded; the order record we keep contains amount, order id, mobile number and masked last-4 only.

Are you the transport authority?

No. We are an independent online top-up service. We act as a payment intermediary — we take your top-up instruction and the bank-card payment, then post the credit to the card account.

Do you have an app?

No. The web flow is the entire product — load the page, type the serial, pay.
